LogisT Africa – The Egyptian capital will host the 71st International Conference and Exhibition of the Airports Council International – Africa Region ‘ACI-Africa,’ from February 24 to March 1, 2024. The event is organized by the Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation, one of the companies affiliated with the Ministry of Civil Aviation of Egypt.
Under the patronage of the Prime Minister, Dr Mostafa Madbouly, this gathering aims to bring together approximately 400 representatives from airports and international organizations representing 52 African countries, around the theme: ‘Airports: Engines of Sustainable Socio-Economic Growth.’
As an essential platform for global cooperation, gathering experts, decision-makers, and specialists in the aviation industry, this conference has the aim of “exchanging experiences and visions, presenting the best practices of airports in African countries, and developing an integrated strategy that contributes to formulating policies and identifying the latest means of aviation technology, to keep pace with the rapid developments in aviation. The field of air transport industry, in addition to improving the level of services provided to travelers to make their travel experience more comfortable and luxurious” according to Lieutenant General Mohamed Abbas Helmy, the Minister of Civil Aviation of the country, as mentioned in a press release.
Before its opening, the conference is normally preceded by meetings of the Board and Regional Committees. After its ending, two simultaneous and free training seminars are organized for ACI Africa members.
Let us recall that the event also includes a large-scale exhibition, bringing together airports, service providers and aviation companies to showcase their airport infrastructure developments, technological improvements, and innovative products and services.
